What is Gamification?

Gamification is the application of game elements and digital game design techniques to non-game problems, such as business and social impact challenges. This course will teach you the mechanisms of gamification, why it has such tremendous potential, and how to use it effectively. When people hear gamification, they envision games created for a business purpose. But gamification is not about creating something new. It is about amplifying the effect of an existing, core experience by applying the motivational techniques that make games so engaging.

The gamification of learning is an educational approach to motivate students to learn by using video game design and game elements in learning environments. The goal is to maximize enjoyment and engagement through capturing the interest of learners and inspiring them to continue learning.

The main features of my game is that it is attractive as my character is very interesting and children will have a certain amount of excitement to play the game. The game is also very easy to play as it is made for the age group 3-5. The game helps children take a break from studies and improve their concentration skills. The game involves a monkey, boxes and fire which looks very attractive. There are two levels and in the second level the number of boxes increase. The monkey however gives an attractive look which attracts the children of this particular age group. This game does not involve education but provides engagement for children.
